Our bar and restaurant have created an enviable reputation for personal service and quality fayre! From our selection of well kept ales and beers, to an extensive wine list and freshly ground coffee, we offer both choice and quality.

Our team of professional chefs also take great pride in producing a wide array of good quality menus for every event whether it is a small buffet or a large three course banquet.

We have the ability to divide our large recently refurbished clubhouse into several different areas which allows us to serve our members, their guests and other internal events without compromising the quality of their experience.

Wells Eagle

Made from natural mineral water from our own well, this ale has been a firm favourite around Bedford over two centuries.

El Coto De Rioja

Rioja Alavesa. A fabulous range, including the Gold medal winning Gran Reserva from the outstanding 2001 vintage.

Estrella Damm

Loving work and having an eye for every detail is Estrella Damm's formula. Brewed according to the original 1876 recipe. We have no secrets. Just a job well done.

Enjoy the course and facilities all year round and become a member of Saffron Walden Golf Club.

It’s a thinkers course, you can’t just grab your driver and bash away because there are some holes there that’ll eat you up. My favourite is the par-4 13th which calls for a draw off the tee to leave you a mid iron into a green that has a ridge across and is harder than it looks. The hole wouldn’t look out of place on some of the best layouts in the world.
