Out of bounds left and right, an accurate tee shot is required to make sure you aren’t reloading for 3 off the tee! Uphill all the way to a large green, this is a strong par 5; probably one of the best in the County.

Pro's tip

A tee shot down the left side will give the best angle to hit the green in two for the long hitters. A lay up over the ridge will leave a short iron or pitch from a level lie to this large green.

Mature parkland, it’s superb. The par-5 3rd is a good hole up the hill and the 17th is strong too, but I like the par-5 that runs along the bottom to end the front nine. The perimeter of the course stretches down to the right-hand side and the tee shot is all important, calling for a draw into a sloping fairway. You must hit the fairway here to give yourself a chance of going for the green.
