Description

A bunker to the left hand side of the fairway seems to gather balls like a magnet, so aim right of this. A short approach to the green will await you, but the contours are severe, so a 2 putt is by no means guaranteed!

Pro's tip

Long hitters may decide to drive over the fairway bunker. A tee shot towards the marker post will leave you a good view of the green for your approach shot.

Mature parkland, it’s superb. The par-5 3rd is a good hole up the hill and the 17th is strong too, but I like the par-5 that runs along the bottom to end the front nine. The perimeter of the course stretches down to the right-hand side and the tee shot is all important, calling for a draw into a sloping fairway. You must hit the fairway here to give yourself a chance of going for the green.
