A tricky hole to end the front 9, with out of bounds all the way down the right hand side, you should favour the left side where possible. New bunkers guard the approach and front of the green, so ensure you plot your way round carefully!

Pro's tip

Fairway slopes from left to right, a tee shot finishing on the right side of the fairway will give you the flattest lie for your 2nd shot. A good tee shot gives you a chance to attack this well protected par 5 green in two.

Mature parkland, it’s superb. The par-5 3rd is a good hole up the hill and the 17th is strong too, but I like the par-5 that runs along the bottom to end the front nine. The perimeter of the course stretches down to the right-hand side and the tee shot is all important, calling for a draw into a sloping fairway. You must hit the fairway here to give yourself a chance of going for the green.
