Description

Driveable for big hitters, more realistically an iron off the tee and short iron in for Club golfers. Out of bounds left again, favour the right hand side of the fairway. A kidney shaped bunker protects the front of the green from poorly struck approach shots.

Pro's tip

The green can be in range for long hitters if conditions are good. You may be best advised to play your tee shot safe and leave a short iron or pitch to the green which slopes from back right to front left.

Mature parkland, it’s superb. The par-5 3rd is a good hole up the hill and the 17th is strong too, but I like the par-5 that runs along the bottom to end the front nine. The perimeter of the course stretches down to the right-hand side and the tee shot is all important, calling for a draw into a sloping fairway. You must hit the fairway here to give yourself a chance of going for the green.
