Very strong par 4 that needs an accurate and well considered tee shot. Reach the corner for a realistic chance to hit the green; short of the corner and trees block you out, long and you are in rough surrounded by more trees!

Pro's tip

Play your tee shot to the corner of the dog-leg, but be aware that the fairway slopes from left to right. Your approach is played to a green that runs from left to right.

Mature parkland, it’s superb. The par-5 3rd is a good hole up the hill and the 17th is strong too, but I like the par-5 that runs along the bottom to end the front nine. The perimeter of the course stretches down to the right-hand side and the tee shot is all important, calling for a draw into a sloping fairway. You must hit the fairway here to give yourself a chance of going for the green.
